Ramona Opportunity High School

This is a new school for LAUSD and is partially funded by the MTA. This replacement school was unique in many ways. It is a joint venture project with MTA (on the future Gold Line), and is a continuation school for single mothers. Although planned for single mothers, it also incorporates a coed support facilities so it can be used for both boy’s and girl’s in the future. The school includes a day care center as an integral part of the campus planning and educational curriculum. The campus included a new cafeteria building, new gymnasium, and new classroom and administration building.

Construction Cost est.: $25,000,000.
Mun Leu was lead architect with the firm of LHA Architects.
Area: 32,071 SF
Cost: $25,000,000.00
